Popis: | As an increasing number of patients with melanoma is being treated with adjuvant systemic therapy, there is a growing need for an effective and efficient follow-up strategy to address issues such as radiation burden, increasing costs, and limited resources and scanning capacity. In addition, early detection of recurrent disease is crucial to determine the treatment plan while aiming to prevent unnecessary exposure to subsequent treatments with all accompanying costs, toxicities and fear for patients. So far, no consensus has been reached on the follow-up scheme in patients with melanoma treated with adjuvant therapy. |
