Popis: In French, common nouns can be feminine or masculine. In France, the “Académie Française” has recommended using the term Covid-19 as feminine, but it is clear that in common usage and in the media, the term Covid-19 is rather used as masculine. The objective of this research is to study experimentally whether the gender assigned to the Covid-19 disease and its perceived gender have an impact on its perceived severity, the protective measures implemented, the perceived risk... A second objective will be to make a French translation of the COVID-19 Perceived Risk Scale by Yıldırım and Güler (2020).
