Popis: Wildlife trafficking threatens the existence of many species and accelerates the destruction of fauna, flora, forests, and other natural resources and contributes to environmental degradation. Wildlife trafficking affects most countries of the world as countries of origin, transit or destination and frequently involves sophisticated organised criminal groups. This chapter explores the demand that is driving this illicit trade, examines the methods and perpetrators, and outlines relevant international frameworks to prevent and combat wildlife trafficking.
