Popis: A detail-on-demand scheme can alleviate both memory and GPU pressure on mobile devices caused by volume rendering. This approach allows a user to explore an entire dataset at its native resolution while simultaneously constraining the texture size being rendered to a dimension that does not exceed the processing capabilities of a portable device. This scheme produces higher-quality, more focused images rendered at interactive frame rates, while preserving the native resolution of the dataset.
