Popis: | A procedure is described for increasing the amount of acid-precipitable polyphenylalanine obtained from crude S-30 extracts of E. coli MRE-600 using the poly U directed Nirenberg assay system. The method requires addition of SDS and ADP to the assay solution in addition to its normal constituents. Using this procedure, a 9- to 10-fold increase in acid-precipitable radioactivity is obtained in a 60 min assay period. |
