Difficulties the students faced from different department at 'drawing' and 'graphical drawing' courses: Bursa Uludağ and Kastamonu University models

Popis: | The students training in plastic arts have a rather lengthy process to go through. This period must be given in a much shorter time at vocational schools of higher education graphic programs. In addition, the condition of graduated fr om graphic department had been removed for entrance to graphic programs and it has become the students being able to choose outside their field of secondary education with changes at educational policies in recent years. This situation, leads to the students from different departments were not capable, reduction of interest to the course, therefore, re-course every year by failing to take the course, particularly at courses which requires skills. Art /design students are in need of "Drawing" course to learn and apply the basic design elements. Thus, the students learn to use different drawing techniques and gain the experience of merging these techniques with the principles of design. The students who learn to use different techniques as well as various principles improve visual perception by his observations. Other art education models are added to “Drawing” course according to the selected art/ design discipline. "Graphical Drawing" is one of the important and necessary courses at graphic branch. In this course, students learn to be able to present the basic skills with a graphical expression. “Drawing" class skills placed to the design base with the help of "Graphical Drawing" course’s stylization, abstraction and deformation techniques. Thus, the infrastructure is prepared graphic design studio courses. The research aims to detect the student’s congruence levels to branch courses who were graduated from different areas of secondary education and eligible to take undergraduate graphic design programs. For this purpose, students training in the 2012- 2013 academic year at Graphic Design Programs of Kastamonu University Kastamonu Vocational School of Higher Education and Uludağ University Vocational School of Technical Sciences will be taken as a sample. A survey method will be applied in order to obtain such data as areas of graduation from secondary education and attitudes to the courses. In addition, the studies and scores of students’ "Pattern" - "Graphical Drawing" courses will be compiled for research. In this way, aimed to determine the association between the areas in secondary education and studies scores of the mentioned courses. Through this research which is considered to be appropriate one of the Triennial Symposium’s issues "Sustainability/ Continuity", it will be able to improve the quality of art/ designeducation. {"references":["Albayrak, A.
