| Popis: | Three methods to calculate the windage caused power loss of hard disk drives are discussed and compared. An empirical formula for quick estimation of windage caused power loss is introduced. The results obtained by the empirical formula are compared with those obtained by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and validated by the experimental measurement data. Good agreement is observed among the data obtained by these three methods. |
