Popis: In May-Thurner syndrome, or iliac vein compression syndrome, the left common iliac vein is compressed between the right common iliac artery and corresponding vertebral body, increasing patient risk for deep vein thrombosis. Iliac vein stenting for patients with symptomatic May-Thurner syndrome has become standard practice in many centers. This article describes a patient whose stent embolized completely to the right ventricle, destroying most structures in its path.
