Popis: | The introduction of chickenpox onto our renal unit recently raised several issues surrounding the management of patient and staff contracts. This paper describes the action taken and makes various recommendations for future management of similar cases. Guidelines are proposed for the management of patients and staff as well as the role of the infection control team in handling a chickenpox problem. Future developments, including the use of VZ vaccine for patient and staff, are also discussed. |
