Popis: | Depression is a frequent comorbidity in the course of schizophrenia and is associated with increased mortality from suicide. Postpsychotic depression is defined as the syndrome of major depression occurring following remission of psychotic symptoms in a person with schizophrenia. Various proposed causes, differential diagnosis, and issues regarding management of postpsychotic depression are discussed. |
