Popis: The design of dielectric resonator antennas (DRA) most often requires materials with a high dielectric permittivity. This contribution describes a design with a tuned permittivity, derived from a zirconia substrate and using the properties of periodic crystalline lattices. A demonstrator at 4 GHz has been successfully designed with an additive manufacturing process for ceramics. The measurements confirm the proposed approach to derive the permittivity from a homogenous material.
