Popis: | Neonatal maladjustment syndrome is characterized by depressed consciousness, neurologic signs, and reduced or nonexistent suckle reflex. Resuscitation compression (squeezing) has been used in newborn foals and calves to reduce the behavioral symptoms of neonatal maladjustment syndrome. In this review, the authors describe how resuscitation compression can be used in newborn sheep. This technique can improve abnormal neonatal lamb behavior and encourage suckling in resistant lambs. |
