Popis: | It would be desirable to be able to accurately evaluate the fatigue damage from strain signals at critical areas during a vehicle test using appropriate sampling rates or from computer simulation using suitable output frequencies. This paper reports the fatigue damage evaluation using appropriate sampling frequencies. A criterion is obtained to define the relationship between the probable accuracy on fatigue damage evaluation and sampling frequencies. It is shown that the results can be taken as a guideline for railway engineers to select appropriate sampling criteria to meet their fatigue evaluation requirement and the method can be used as a technique for predicting the fatigue life of railway vehicle bogies. |
