Popis: The analysis of the implementation of financial education programs both in Peru andBrazil, indicates that these helped to modify the pattern of expenses and behavior in thestudents. In the same way, teachers acquired greater awareness about saving andeffective management of resources. The objective of this article is to present an abstract of the financial education programsthat have been implemented in Latin America in the last ten years, specifying its objective,entity that provided it and the population involved, and is part of the results of the project."La educacion financiera de los universitarios y el acceso a los creditos de la bancaprivada de la ciudad de Guayaquil”belonging to the University of Guayaquil. In LatinAmerica where the public sector has the initiative in financial education, through theimplementation of the National Financial Education Strategy. In Latin America, thecountries that stand out for the amount of financial education programs applied are: Chile;Colombia and Mexico.
