Popis:	Etienne Naveau The subject which expresses itself in Indonesian Otobiografi aims less at knowing itself in its essential truth than at being noticed in the eyes of others by conveying a certain image of itself to the public. The physical images, which are signs that open the texts to what is outside them, contribute to the construction of such a public image. Studying Indonesian Otobiografi through their illustrations then comes down to asking oneself questions on the relation between images and writings. In this study, E.
