Popis:	We developed a novel approach to introduce a carbohydrate moiety into the structure of thiourea compounds targeting the NNI binding pocket of the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. The described method involves the synthesis of an amino-substituted carbohydrate moiety which is then condensed with various thiocarbonylimidazole derivatives of substituted aromatic amines.
