Popis: | This paper presents an optimal sizing technique of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Hybrid Electric Ship. The technique is based on both Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) and Non-Dominated Sorting-based Genetics Algorithm II (NSGA II). Both total installed BESS size (kWh) and total fuel consumption are the objectives of the optimization. To meet the target lifespan of BESS, Depth-of-Discharge (DOD) of BESS is used as design variable together with usable energy of BESS. An example based on ferry case study has been studied. From the sizing technique, Pareto front is obtained. The ship designer or user can choose one of the results from the Pareto front based on their goal or requirement. |
