Popis: In this paper security, safety and trust involved in running private wireless networks in urban areas of the city of Zagreb (Croatia) has been analyzed. Main goals were to see how much configuration is done once the equipment is installed by the end user, how can be improved security of the wireless network through education in one, and what role does the ISP play in Wifi security on the other hand. it has been decided to quantify all this by analyzing security measures in WLAN networks that we could observe from public spaces. From observed data it can be established that the situtation with wireless security is good, but there is still room for improvement. Our main conclusion is that resposibility for wireless security is mainly on telecom operators, since end users rarely even change the initial configuration of the equipment given to them.
