Popis: | Twelve women patients with temporal lobe epilepsy reported sexual arousal or orgasm as part of epileptic seizures, usually the aura. In two patients, the sexual feelings were reproduced by stimulation of deep temporal structures. Eleven similar women have been described by other authors, and only three men. These findings suggest a different neural organization of male and female sexual function in the human brain. The sexually dimorphic structures are probably located in the limbic portion of the temporal lobe. |
