Popis: | Binge eating disorder involves binging on food without purging afterwards, causing significant weight gain. These individuals often use consumption of food as a way to cope with stress and daily problems. One of common consequence of this disorder is low self-esteem. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on increasing self-esteem in women with Binge Eating Disorder. The research method was quasi experimental with pre test-post test design and control group. A sample of 40 women in Nutrition Counseling Center in Tehran was selected by available sampling method. Results showed that dialectical behavior therapy had a positive effect on increasing of self-esteem in women with EBD. |
