Popis: For the culture of those who speak and write in a language, the importance of a spelling dictionary developed bythe relevant academic institutions is incontestable. Since access to public writing is almost universal, including social networks, advertising, filling in forms etc., the risk of making errors is enormous, and sadly, as far as the Republic of Moldova is concerned, quite real. A language’s orthography demands regular revision, especially when spelling is based on the phonematic principle. The acceptance and adaptation of neologisms from different languages, after a period of testing and experimental running, isreflected in the lexicographic articles that define the norms for the pronunciation and spelling of the new word, as well as thepart of speech it now belongs to. And thus the word receives a paradigm, provided it deserves one. DOOM3, published in 2021,was completed with over 3600 new entries; certain new variants have been reviewed, while a number of contradictory spellings, such as toponyms, have been sorted out. All in all, the contact with a source such as a dictionary, especially an orthographic, orthoepic and morphological one, appears to be efficient for personal consultations when required or when in doubt.
