Popis: A liquid membrane-based anion-selective electrode for hydrogen sulfite has been developed using a guanidininm ionophore in a poly(vinyl chloride) membrane. At pH 6.00, a logarithmic response to hydrogen sulfite in the range 5.0×10 -5 to 0.500 M is observed with a detection limit of 3.9 (±0.3)×10 -5 M (n=6). The electrode demonstrated minimal response to other anions, with perchlorate (K pot HSO3-,ClO4- =7.0×10.3) and salicylate (K pot HSO3-,salicylate =4.6×10 -3 ) being the two strongest interferents
