The article analyzes the features of translation of a television series on the example of the American television series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. It is investigated that the audiovisual translation is still a little-studied type of translation and has a number of common features with the translation of fiction, such as targeting, integrity, intertextuality, modality. Translation of TV series and feature films also refers to artistic translation where the task of the translator is not only to correctly reproduce the ideas of the author of a novel, drama or poem, but also to reflect the way of artistic embodiment of ideas, to convey the imagery of the original with no less force than its author did. Hence the close attention of the translator of a work of fiction to its semantics and its stylistics in order to adequately convey the meaning of the TV series, the translator must use a number of transformations, such as phonetic, grammatical, lexical, syntactic and pragmatic. An adequate translation of a film production must not only reflect the meaning of the main characters’ dialogues, but also accurately convey extralinguistic information, such as humor, realias and national characteristics. It was revealed that during the translation of the TV series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” transformations were used at the phonetic, grammatical, lexical levels, as well as pragmatic transformations. The most frequent transformations were those at the grammatical and lexical levels. Phonetic transformations in the form of transliteration and transcription were mainly used to convey realias and proper names. The most frequent lexical transformation was the antonymic translation. Using a certain type of orientation, namely alienation, helped to adapt the main characters’ replicas for the Ukrainian audience
