Popis: | The paper aims at marking the main points of the evolution of the English (as a foreign language) curriculum for primary and lower secondary education in Romanian post-communist era, considering the stages of the education reforms started in 1990 and continuing at present. Since most students in Romanian compulsory education study English as a first foreign language, this diachronic perspective on the English curriculum is an invitation addressed to curriculum designers, teachers and other stakeholders to reflect on the future of this discipline in the given context. |
