Popis: In the course in the Collège de France of 1904-1905, Bergson analyzes the various theories of freedom which were since Antiquity proposed. He finds there then the opportunity to present the main aspects of his conception of the history of the philosophy. It is in this context that he lingers particularly on the case of Plotinus, the position of which appears to him to be a synthesis but also a revelation of all ancient philosophy. But Bergson uses an original method to propose an interpretation of the thought of Plotinus. This one consists in following his movement, while indicating its limits in order to reorient it. In this paper, we want to expose this original method and show that it makes possible to understand more exactly other texts of Bergson in which he proposed an analysis of the theories of Plotinus.
