Popis: Improved dental hygiene has decreased the incidence of dental caries and focused attention on periodontal diseases. Gingivitis is the inflammation and/or ulceration of gingival tissue caused by anaerobic bacteria. Ionizing radiation produces a variety of oxygen species from the water in our tissues; each is highly toxic for anaerobic. The hypothesis is: low dose irradiation should be an effective treatment for gingivitis.
