Popis: | Septic arthritis can occur by hematogenous seeding, direct joint inoculation, or extension of a bone infection into the joint. We report a case of septic arthritis of the hip caused by Desulfovibrio desulfuricans, an anaerobic sulfur-reducing bacteria. The patient underwent debridement followed by targeted antibiotic therapy with infection resolution. |
