The article considers the problematic issues of commercial sexual exploitation of children in Ukraine. The issues that involved high crime rates and the use of criminals are experienced. Gaps were identified in preventing this phenomenon. The author also identifies specific issues and factors that adversely affect the the growth of commercial sexual activity of children in Ukraine. Commercial sexual exploitation of children is one of the most violent forms of violence against them. There are various types of exploitation, such as prostitution, child pornography, trafficking for sexual purposes, child sex tourism, and early marriage. Also there are many driving factors of human trafficking and child exploitation, but the number one driver of this industry is the demand. Commercial sexual exploitation of children carries a whole range of serious dangers to their physical and mental health. There are including depression, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, dissociation, homicide, and suicide. There is also a high incidence of substance abuse among exploited children. Sexual exploitation of children poses a significant threat to society, as such activities increase the risks of the human immunodeficiency viruses infection, early pregnancy and death in childbirth, sexually transmitted infections etc. Therefore, the need for the establishment of preventive and psycho-corrective programs for the prevention of CSED is obvious. Particularly acute problem today is the need to irreversibly counteract the phenomenon of commercial sexual exploitation of children, which is rapidly spreading and is finding favorable ground for adversely affecting. the younger generation. Nobody really knows how many children are victims of commercial sexual exploitation. This phenomenon is unstable, fleeting and volatile, both of additional interest and of difficulty for researchers. |
