Popis: | In order to create energy-efficient, ubiquitous and green information systems, it will be necessary to exchange information and co-ordinate action between systems that have traditionally not been interoperable. Providing such interoperability is a major challenge unless the underlying information systems are implemented in a way that allows for the collection of relevant information, such as (near) real-time sensor readings and higher-level events, as well as and the ability to take proper actions based on that information. The paper shows how and why instance-informed information systems are a requirement for implementing energy-efficient and green information systems, as well as showing how such information systems have been implemented in several real-world applications. |
