Popis: Electrochemical industry is a chemical process industry, which utilizes electric energy as the driving force for chemical reaction. Electrochemical reaction is a heterogeneous two-dimensional process, i.e., oxidation and reduction of chemical species may take place at the anode and the cathode in contact with electrolyte, respectively. Diaphragms and/or membranes are often utilized to separate the anolyte and the catholyte. Therefore, continuous research and development of these functional materials and utilization are required. Design and operation under optimum conditions are also indispensable.
