Popis: | The complete coding sequences of five divergent strains of Changuinola virus (CGLV), collected over a 16-year period in Panama, were determined, using viral metagenomics. Each strain had 10 RNA segments that encoded structural and non-structural proteins with amino acid identities ranging from 33 to 99% with sequences of other 15 members of the Changuinola virus (Reoviridae: Orbivirus) species group. Genetic analyses of the five Panamanian virus strains revealed probable reassortment among multiple segments of the viruses. |
