Popis: This deliverable first presents integration of the dynamic models of the SmartCHP components into a predictive system model. The model is parameterized and partially validated using measurements from a turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine and a swirl burner both running on fast pyrolysis bio-oil. The system model then is used for design and evaluation of controllers both on plant level and component level. Control design on plant level is about finding an operation plan for electricity and heat generation in response to predicted energy demand profiles. The operation plan is then translated into some reference or setpoints for the component-level components to track. Model-based control strategies are formulated, and predictive simulations illustrate their performance.
