Popis: | In 1985 Kroto discovered a new allotropic form of carbon organized in stable molecules of 60 atoms (C 60 ); this gave birth to intensive research for producing other possible structures of carbon. The unique physical and chemical properties of fullerene-like nanoparticles pushed the research toward the development of inorganic fullerene-like nanoparticles (IF-NPs): MoS 2 and WS 2 . For their tribological properties IF-NP could be used in a number of fields. These days there has been a lot of progress about the use of nanoparticles in medicine. In particular, nanodentistry is now emerging due to the great interest in the future of dental applications of nanotechnology, especially in orthodontic treatment. The most significant progress is achieved in the use of IF-NPs for friction reduction. |
