Popis: Paper is a porous substrate made of cellulosic fibres and fibre fragments, bound together to form a network. The properties of the network depend on the fibre composition, the fibre-to-fibre bonding and the additives present. A sheet of paper consists of several layers of interlaced fibres. A lightweight sheet of 44 g m-2 comprises about 10–20 layers; the corresponding number for a paperboard would be about 50.
