Popis:	An unusual instance of fibrous dysplasia of the maxilla in a 3-year-old boy caused grotesque deformity during a period of 13 years. It was the cause of his death at 16 years of age. The lesion was originally diagnosed as osteogenic sarcoma. Death occurred after an unsuccessful attempt at surgical resection.
