| Popis: | An 8-year-old Samoan boy had a 6-month history of a growing mandibular mass. The panorex radiograph demonstrated a lytic lesion of the left mandible. The Tc-99m HDP bone scan showed intense accumulation of the radiopharmaceutical in this area confirming an active process. Correlation with CT and MRI provided additional information about the cystic nature of the mass and the extent of soft tissue invasion, helping to narrow the differential diagnosis and improve preoperative planning. Histopathological examination of the resected tumor confirmed the diagnosis of ameloblastoma, a rare lesion of the mandible |
