Popis:	The aim of this work is to study and to apply the Empirical Mode Decomposition, a relative new method for the analysis of nonlinear and nonstationary signals applied to the geophysical prospection data. A new software was developed in order to implement this method and to allow one to process geophysical signals. The results obtained so far with the processing of a set of synthetic data show the efficiency of the developed algorithm and it lead to a good perspective in the processing of geophysical signals.
