Popis: | Some of the partial revertants from opal (UGA) mutants of bacteriophage T4 are temperature sensitive in su− host cells but are still temperature resistant in su+ cells. Hence these revertants are missense mutants suppressible by bacterial opal suppressors. Such a suppression may be explained in terms of codon-anticodon interactions by the wobble hypothesis. |
