Popis: November bark of Salix petiolaris Sm. was extracted with acetone and ethanol and the extracts were subjected to chromatogaphy on polyamide columns. The various column fractions were monitored by thin-layer chromatographic and gas-liquid chromatographic procedures. From these results and by isolation of crystalline material, the bark was shown to contain salicin, picein, vimalin, salicyloylsalicin, salireposide, grandidentatin, populin, tremulacin and/or tremuloidin, salicyloylsalicin-2-O-benzoate, (+)-catechin and β-sitosterol.
