Popis: | This article describes a technique for fabricating a custom anatomic healing abutment for delayed loaded implants by using the computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) technology from a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) blank. The dimensions of the custom healing abutment are measured from a conventional dental radiograph and diagnostic casts. The healing abutment is used in the second surgical stage to guide soft tissue healing. The resulting soft tissue contour guides the design of the mucosal part of the custom implant abutment. |
