Hearing in preterm infants with postnatally acquired cytomegalovirus infection

Popis:	Cytomegalovirus is an important cause of sensorineural hearing loss in children. In contrast to congenitally infected infants, little is known about hearing in preterm infants with postnatal cytomegalovirus infection. We studied the hearing in 64 preterm infants during the first year of life and in 18 during the second year of life. None of the infants developed sensorineural hearing loss.
