Popis:	The dependence of earthquake frequency magnituderelationship and the strain energy release upon the focal depth in HinduKush region lias been studied based on U.S.C.G.S. data during the years1903-1971 (March) and the results have been compared with those of theother investigators for European and Japanese region. It is seen that thereis no positive evidence for the decrease of b in Gutenberg-Ricliter's frequencymagnitude relationship with the focal depth. The temporal variation ofthe elastic strain rebound also for these data does not show the same characteristicpattern as reported by Benioff for the deep focus earthquakes.Emphasis is given also to some facts relating to the seismotectonic regimeof Hindu Kusli area.
