Popis: | Mucormycosis is a fungal infection caused by omnipresent saprophytic fungi of the order Mucorales which occurs in humans and is life threatening. We present a patient in whom a prompt diagnosis followed by aggressive and appropriate treatment in a diabetic patient resulted in complete resolution of mucormycosis of the maxillary sinus. |
