| Popis: | Split transverse colostomy is a novel method of defunctioning the distal colon. Herein, we describe the method of this procedure and present early interim results showing that this procedure is safe, relatively complication free and feasible for many pathologies affecting the colon and pelvis, especially in alleviation of symptoms for palliation. |
