We want to emphasize: a)the urgency of surgical intervention; b)the variability of the causative lesions, some being instances of congenital bronchomalacia of the bronchial root, others of congenital adenomatoid cystic malformation; and c)the value of intravenous steroid therapy in relieving postoperative pulmonary collapse or bronchospasm. |
