Biography: Martin White is a chemist turned information scientist. He joined the Institute of Information Scientists in 1974, in due course serving as Chairman and President. He founded Intranet Focus Ltd in 1999 and for the last ten years has specialized in advising multi-national organisations on enterprise search optimization. Martin has been a Visiting Professor at the Information School since 2003 and is the author of ten books on various aspects of information management technology good practice.
