Russia's war against Ukraine inflicts significant losses not only on Ukraine's economy but also on its own. The current combat losses of the Russian armed forces have a heavy burden on the Russian economy, and if we add to this the losses associated with the imposed sanctions, then every day of the war in geometric progression brings the Russian economy closer to a recessive state. The article presents an analysis of costs and losses during the Russian-Ukrainian war, which provides an opportunity to form certain views on the economic consequences for both country Ukraine and Russia. Therefore, thanks to the military-economic analysis of the available database of statistical information on losses and expenditures of various types of resources in cost equivalent for the threemonth period of the war, the state of the Russian economy was forecasting of the state of the Russian economy according to certain extrapolation trends; defined the content and structure of the losses of Ukraine’s economy as a result of the war in order to include them in the reparations that will be presented to Russia to compensate for these losses, as well as to predict them in the event of a continuation of the war. In addition, the article forecasts the level of military-economic security of Ukraine and the economic consequences for Russia depending on the duration of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the different amounts of economic sanctions imposed on Russia. Further research may be to develop a methodological framework for the formation of the scope of reparations to international courts and agreements to compensate the Russian Federation for the damage caused to the national economy of Ukraine as a result of the war |
