This communication presents an analysis of the work for multiple percussion and electroacoustic sounds entitled Cambucá, para set de percussão múltipla brasileira e tape, by César Traldi. This music piece was composed in response for a commission by the first author of this work as a contribution for his research on the creation, analysis and performance of music for multiple percussion with instruments of Brazilian origin. In following text, we analyze formal aspects of musical organization in Cambucá and discuss the aesthetic approach adopted by the composer in view of a predefined instrumentation that characterized the work’s commission, marked by the hybridization of elements of electroacoustic aesthetics with those of Brazilian popular music genres. |
