Popis: A simple and efficient synthesis of chiral β-hydroxy p -tolylsulfides with high enantiomeric purity by CBS-oxazaborolidine-catalyzed asymmetric borane reduction of β-keto p -tolylsulfides using N -ethyl- N -isopropylaniline–borane complex as the borane carrier is reported.
