| Popis: | Primary leiomyosarcoma of the diaphragm is extremely rare and only five cases have so far been reported. In the early stages clinical signs are scarce and diagnosis is difficult. The advent of MR-imaging has helped in detecting the origin of a diaphragmatic tumour and its relationship to the adjacent tissues. The highly malignant character of this tumour accounts for the poor prognosis even when radical surgery is performed. |
